What Are The Worst Things You Can Spill on Your Carpets?
Altho anything you spill on your carpets can possibly damage carpets. There are just some that are worst than your average stain. Down below we have created a list of the worst things you can spill on your carpet as well as the solution
#1 – Blood
Yikes! We understand accidents happen. Spilling blood on the carpets can be difficult to get out. But using enzyme laundry detergent and water can help.
#2 – Bleach
Bleach has proven it’s self to be one of the hardest stains to remove. You can get 4 cups of warm water with 2 tbsp of white vinegar. Pour the solution on the stained areas. Leave it for about 5 min then rub the stain with cloth or sponge. You should see the stain start to disparage. Altho this stain can help it may not be enough. At this point calling a professional might be the best option.
#3 – Red Wine Stains
Stains from red wine on clothes, carpets & other fabrics can do significant damage. And the lighter color fabrics well obviously tend to stick out much more. In this case, you will need to Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar and one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. Get a cloth and dip it into the solution and start and continue blotting until the stain has lifted.
#4 – Chocolate
As good as chocolate is, its not as good when chocolate has smeared or wors melted on your carpets. You can pour cold water over the stain. Use dishwashing detergent and a cloth rub the stain out. Then let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse the area again with cold water.
#5 – Nail Polish
Doing your nails on the carpet, beds, even kitchen tables can be risky. Nail polish is an extreme chemical that will be difficult getting out.
Get a sponge or cloth, apply a small amount of window cleaner rub the stain out. Let it dry and it should remove.
#6 – Coffee
One minute you’re enjoying your day drinking coffee and the next moment your coffee has spilled on your carpets and ruined the day. Coffee has been shown to leave permanent damage to your fabrics. For this, you want to mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap one tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of warm water. Get a cloth or sponge to the mixture and rub the affected area. Apply a little at a time and dry.
#7 – Tomato
You may be thinking by now anything red, black or brown is the culprit. Rub and press on the stain with a cloth. Then get 2 cups of water 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent. Get a clean cloth and start to blot the affected area. Rinse the area with cold water and pat dry.
#8 – Beer
Beer Careful! Beer can start the part and end the party, haha. When you attempt to clean the stain the odor may still be left behind. You can try cleaning the spill best you can and spray air fresher around. But we noticed this is hard to remove and maybe calling a pro carpet cleaner will be your best bet.
